ProcTime with subframe using variable

Creator

Hi!

Plant Simulation is new to me, and I'm facing some problems that I would appreciate to get some help with from you guys!

I'm trying to do a simulation of several different machines. For this I'm using subframes that represent each machine, since the machines have different operations with different process times for the same products. This is working fine, until I try to add a table with the process times that are over 1min (with really short process times, the simulation is working fine).

I'm using a variable called "MachineOccupied" that makes sure that only one container loaded with entities is allowed inside the subframe at the time.

The attached photo shows a subframe which represents a machine with one operation. The coloured fields are two subframes within the subframe, that unbatch and bacth entitites from containers. When the container has been unloaded in the "Unbacth"-frame, it is sent directly to the "Batch"-frame in order to get loaded with the same entities as before. Meanwhile the entities are being processed in a SingleProc. It is in this SingleProc where I have my problem with entering the table with the process times.

In the method, "EOQ" means the number of entities per container, which differ from container to container.

When i try to run the simulation after entering the table, I get the error message shown in the attached picture.

I would really appreciate some help from you guys

Thanks!! Smiley Very Happy

the failure means, that the Container is empty and you try to move parts. This may happen, if this method is a Exit control. If you move the empty Container, the empty Container also Triggers the Exit control and so the failure occurs.

Thanks for your quick respond, Steffen!

What could be a possible solution for this problem?

Thanks,

You could check in the method if the Container is occupied:

if @.occupied then
-- unload it
--...
end;
