Question - Carry Part Away / Parts Buffer

Valued Contributor

Good morning.

I'm developing a project where at a stretch I use Carry Away Part exit strategy as the 'buffer'. However, in certain shift change, the 'worker' leads to MU for the 'Workpool' and stops the simulation. I have a total of four buffers (buffer1 ... buffer4) working at the same time. How do I use the PartsBuffer, making each MU go to your destination (ParallelProc1 ... ParallelProc4)?

Hello Henrique,

there is a Small Example model, which can open via the Start Page:

Select Category: Resources, Topic Worker, Example: Carry and Shifts.

At the end of a shift a worker who is carrying a part wants to go home.

Therefore he puts the part to the buffer, which is defined in the WorkerPool.

At the beginning of the next shift another worker will take it.

Regards,

Peter
