I'm starting to learn how to use Plant Simulator and I have a very basic question for which I cannot find an answer yet.
I'd like to set the production rate of a source object to "MU/hour", for instance 7 MU/hour or a normal distribution of 20 mu and 5 sigma MU/hour. I think I can only set the production time interval, but that is not what I'm looking for. Do I have to do it through a method?
Thanks for your responses.
Solved! Go to Solution.
You can set a constant production rate
In your case of 7 mu/hour this would mean
3600 : 7 = 514.3 sec interval.
you can select /set a distribution.
you can create a formula (s. fig2 , below)
you can calculate the interval by a method
e.g. source.intervall :=3600.0/7.0
Check the dropdown list between interval and interval value
Thanks for your response,
It seems that's the only way to do what I need to do. I thought you could just set the production ratio in MU's/hour instead of doing all the math (which could introduce some rounding errors) or coding a method to calculate the time interval.
