Question on High Bay Warehouse model

Hello everyone.

I have some queries on HBW model in plant simulation.

By default HBW model stores incoming parts in racks for upto 20minutes(or the time we given in the variable) and then it starts retrieval.

I wanted to track the properties of incoming parts as well as their stored locations. I also wanted to retrieve the parts based on my requirement(like if i want blue part than retieval of blue part based on FIFO rule should happen and if i dont want to retrieve any thing then it shouldn't retrieve any part).

Please help me with this.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Learner,

you want to implement a warehouse management.

The idea is based on the exit control of the SingleProc DockingStation.

I recommend to use a tablefile with columns for the MU (type object) and 3 columns for the storage position xPos, yPos, side.

The Store operation is treated by

track := ?.succ(1);
track.getFreeLocation(xPos, yPos, side);
tablefile.writeRow(1, tablefile.yDim + 1, @, xPos, yPos, side);
track.appendOrder(xPos, yPos, side, "put");

The Retrieve operation uses

track.appendOrder(Pos, yPos, side, "get");

Regards,

Peter
