Real Time Production & Data Importation

Hi everyone.

i have some questions, the answers will help me on my project.

1- Is it possible to simulate production in real time with the real production system?

2- If i want to place a machine, what data i need to import from the production system ?

Thank you.

What do you mean with " the real production system" ?

Have a look into the Dialog of the Station / SingleProc. Here you find the data-set you need to import (+ failure data).
In addition to this you need the position of the machine, associated buffers, all Information about the materialflow (predecessor - successor) for each kind of part, maintenance information...

Using one of the data Interfaces, you can share information with the production system.

Thank you Mr. Steffan for your time, and for your precious answers.
What i meant by "The Real Production System" is the connection between what happens in the industrial field and the Plant Simulation in real time, it's kind of supervisory of the production system.

You can quite easily exchange "live" data through the OPC-interface.

No, sorry, simply because you need more than just an spp-file. But if you master a bit of SimTalk it is quite easy to set up. You need to make a mapping between your model and your MES, for both objects and attributes. I would suggest to create a small test environment with a small model, OPC server and MES.
