Schedule MU Animation

Valued Contributor

Hi,

I would like to show a MU lowering into my SingleProc, wait for processing to complete, then raise up. I made two animation paths on the "MU Animation" tab of the SingleProc. How do I schedule the individual animation paths in the entrance and exit controls, or is there a different approach?

Thanks.

lowering entrance control

lifting: method called in entranceControl with time delay procTime-liftingTime

e.g.

&method.methCall(station.procTime-liftingTime)

otherwise the MU will be moved before it is lifted

Steffen, thanks for your response. However, I'm looking for the SimTalk commands to trigger the animation.

.schedule and .playanimations commands only seem to work with self animations and I cannot find examples in the Help menu for triggering Mu animations.

the MU Animation with the Name Default will be started automatically (you cannot start it with simtalk), if the MU enters the Station, here you could lower your part, to bring it up again you could insert it into the same animation (insert just a Segment with the same coordinate and set a time, then the corrdinate to lift it again),so you dont need to program.

You can change the muAnimation (point) of the object to become a line ( s.attached file)

Then the mu will move along the anipath when entering the object.

What about exiting the object? When time is variable, such as another event triggering the move, setting the animation time statically won't work.

the exiting animation is the entry animation of the following (drain) object (s. posted model)
