Simple model suggestion

Hello to everyone,

and nice to meet you all. i’m a (totally newbie) PHD student and i have a new project with plant simulation.

I have to do a very basic thing (for now) but i haven’t found the solution yet; i have to generate 3 different types of custom MUs (for example: article A, B and C) and then send these articles to a specific machine based on the attribute of the MUs (for example: all article A to machine 1, all article B to machine 2 etc).

Can you please give me some hint on how to do this model?

You will find all the information in the help. You can use the source to produce the different parts (MU Selection: sequence / sequence cyclical).
For distribute the parts to different machines, you can use the exit strategy: MU attribute (see help). Here you can define successors depend on attributes of the MUs (in your case the attribute name).

Re: Simple model suggestion

Dear Steffen,

thanks for the reply; i've been able to create different MUs but they are not dividing between the two machines.

They are only passing by the first one. i've read the help but i haven't find a solution.

Can you please let me know where i can find more detailed information?

Thank you.

you are almost right; you only need to change the name of the attribute in the exit-strategy table. It needs to be "Name". Than it works.

Re: Simple model suggestion

Dear Steffen,

i've tried many changes, starting from yours, but i do not understand which is the problem.

Every MUs are passing through station 1; any idea?

i've tried with mu attributes on the help but there is just few words and it's not clear at all.

thanks a lot for the patience.

perhaps it is difficult to understand

You need to write the name of the attribute into the first column.

And the name of the attribute is "Name".

(I know this creates a knot in the head.)

See the model.
