Transferring MU's through conveyors problem

Creator

Hey everyone! I have an annoying problem indeed. Whenever i combine two conveyors together like the pic below, the MU travles to the begining of the second conveyor! all I want from the MU is to travel as normally expected! the arrow should be horizontal .. not always starts from the beginign of the second conveyor! It should be running as the green line says, right? 2018-02-20_153058.png

Is there a solution for this?

Thanks,

Sameh

to get this behavior you need to split up the main conveyor. The behavior you describe is the default behavior. If you connect two conveyors, the mu will be moved at the start of the conveyor (if you select forward direction).

As highlighted in your screenshot, your short conveyors are all connected to the  beginning

of the long (second) conveyor.

Please split the long conveyor in short conveyor segments and connect the short conveyors with the

beginning of each segment.

I suggest you try the insert method for the MU you wish to transfer.  With the insert method, you can specify the second conveyor and the position of the leading edge of the MU.  The insert position will vary depending upon the transfer location.

You will have to ensure there is space available before the transfer occurs (i.e., the MU is not blocked by another MU already on the second conveyor).

Also, especially if your MUs are not square, you might want to take a look at the Converter object and place one on the (formerly) long line where-ever you have MUs coming in from the side.

I should also mention you'll need to delete the connections leading to the second conveyor.  Then use the insert method in a control method at the end of the first conveyor.
