Two different Set up times in the machine

Pioneer

Hello dear community,

I am trying to inlcude in my model two different types of Set-ups that happen in the machine.

Set-up type 1: Happens each time 1500 pieces are produced. (Set-up time:20 min)

Set-up type 2: Happens each time 50 pieces are produced (Set-up time: 3 min)

I tried to use the setting SetupAfterNumParts on the Set-up tab, but I can only set one of the set-up types.

Anyone has any idea?

Thank you in advance

Laura

Hi Laura,

what does the set-up type depend on?

If you want to change the set-up type, you set setupAfterNumParts to a certain number in a method:

Machine.setupAfterNumParts := 5

You should think about the event when the mentioned attribute is change.

Regards,

Peter

I guess, you can define the setup after 1.500 parts as a special setup in the 50 parts interval, only with a higher setup time. Set the setup behavior --> depend on number of parts --> 50

You need only an entrance control (before actions) to change the setup time for each 1500 parts:

if (?.statNumIn+1) mod 1500=0 then

   ?.setUpTime:=1200

else

  ?.setUpTime:=180

end
