Worker shall Wait at Source Workplace until Destination Workplace is Free

Legend

Hi all,

I like to have a worker wait at the source workplace where it just picked up a part, ... until the destination station / workplace is free.

At the moment the PickandPlace robot moves the part into the station is probable to early to wait.

This example has 2 in/out station which run in parallel. In order to prevent a deadlock, the station need to have always one in/out free.

When the worker comes to the workplace in workcell1, the IN method shall look if the destination is free.

If not free, the workder shall wait here.

How can I lock a worker ?

The other worker can free up the workcell2

I added an example, The OUT_12 should be taken as reference at ~ 4:55min.

Kind regards

Marco

Hello Marco,

attached is your model without the deadlock coming up around the seventh minute. I managed to solve that deadlock by introducing entrance and exit controls for both robots in the work cells and coordinating them accordingly. Would such a solution also work for you or would you need to model the case of the worker waiting specifically at one of the workstations?

Kind regards,

Igor
