On my model I have sub-assembly parts on different stations which has to be moved to the main assembly station. Please take a note that each sub-assembly station has its own source feeding it. So I want to use one worker to carry one sub-assembly part at a time and drop it to the main assembly, however I am struglling with telling the worker to pick the sub-assemly parts, following a specific listed order when picking parts from sub-assembly stations to the main assembly station. Which method can I follow? (This is a job shop manufacturing process actually)
Thank you in advance.
did you have look at the collection of little sample models in Plant Simulation?
The one in my Screenshot is, I guess, quite close to your problem.
Yes, but the point of the sample model is, that the worker has a fixed sequence of stations where he works and that also applies to your problem, if I understood you right:
if you set the attribute: automaticMediation of the worker to false, you can send the worker with the command goTo to the next workplace, there you can place an entrance control to program the action of the worker (e.g. adress a MU and load it). You need to set the attribute destination of the MUs, if you want to carry them.
At the assembly station the worker unloads its parts automatically (you need only to wait, until he is empty).
So, you can program very easily a sequence of tasks.
