I am trying to create a model of an assembly line.
The line must handle different product types; meaning that the number of operations and the time of these operations will vary. The combination of these variations are approx. 100-200 different products.

My customer have asked for a good visual of the model, however I know that this can be difficult.
My current problems are:
Any ideas for the points above are a great help.
An idea of my own are.
Create enough singleproc's to handle the variation of process numbers. Add a workplace for each singleproc. This might handle the statistics and worker problem.
Parallel to the singleproc's create a track and a footPath where a clone MU and a worker will work along each other. This could handle the visual of the task.

I guess until now (V. 14.1) it is not possible with the worker.
You can use the transporter to model this tasks.

The transporter creates its track dynamically. The track consists on three segments:
- the way to the part on the conveyour (worker walking speed)
- the processing of the part (conveyor speed)
- way back to the start of the conveyor (worker walking speed)
I use a deprecated (still available and hopefully also in the future available) method of the track to create the track dynamically (segmentsTable). For statistics you can use:
worker.statStoreTimePortion (for waiting)
worker.statTransportTimePortion (for working and walking)

I have never tried the funcionality you speak of, but looks interesting. Thanks! I will test the solution.
I do not yet have updated for V14, so if you by chance have it in V13 it would be nice.
