New Electrical Overhead Monorail Library in Plant Simulation

Presenter: Guido Gross, Siemens Industry Software GmbH, Germany.

Guido Groß has worked for Siemens Industry Software in Stuttgart since 1999.

He studied computer science majoring in process computer, microprocessor, and robot programing. He received a Dipl. Inf. (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from the University Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

After working at Daimler for more than 8 years in the department of Production Technology, he worked as a freelancer on simulation projects mainly in the automotive area for several years. In 1999 he joined the company. In the first few years he was responsible for in house training and training at customer sites. Meanwhile he is responsible for Application Object Libraries mainly for Assembly, HBW, EOM, CSC and VSM.

In the first part of the presentation we will show how to create a simulation model using the EOM library. In the second part, we will show how to create a simulation model using the HBW library.

To follow the course, bring your computer and install Plant Simulation 13.0 on it. This version provides the most recent application object libraries EOM and HBW. During the presentation we together will create a simulation model step by step using the objects of the library
