First of all I'm a new Rulestream user so please accept my apologizes in case I say some stupid stuff.
I'm trying to create a custom control for RuleStream using Visual Studio 2012. For that it is necessary to implement the RuleStream.IRsEngineerView interface. After building the project it gives 23 errors such as "'AfterRelease' cannot implement 'AfterRelease' because there is no matching sub on interface 'RuleStream.IRsEngineerView'."
What am I doing wrong? Is there some general explanation or example about how to create and use custom controls for RuleStream?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I already found out the cause of the errors. It turned out that I was using a different target framework(4) in my VS project than RS is using (4.6.1). Nevertheless a example would be very usefull!
I subscribe to this question.
My class Implements IRsEngineerView.
It necessery implement 22 methods.
When I choose step with Custom Control error occurs:
The Custom Control (...) control could not be created for the current process step.
Example would be very usefull!
I didn't find a sample for custom control. I have successfully implemented one at another customer's project. If anybody needs a sample, please do let me know. Will need to strip it of customer specific code and then post it.
@CheshireNYCI apologize I didn't respond to your post sooner. The example I was talking was nothing but the one mentioned by @AndyB84 in the post before this - here's the location of the documentation he posted: https://community.plm.automation.siemens.com/t5/Rulestream-Knowledge-Base/Custom-Control-Documentati...
@AndyB84the Rulestream dlls that the document is referring to are .NET assemblies found Rulestream install folder. So, when you do 'Add Reference', make sure you choose to 'Browse' for these assemblies and in the 'browse' dialog, navigate to Rulestream install folder and in there you will find these assemblies.
