Using NX 11 assembly constraint "Distance" with distance limits

Hello,

Is there a way to apply the assemlby constrain "Distance" in Siemens NX11 wtih Rulestream, with distance limits?

For example, I have two 3D models with planes in the Part Navigator. I want to be able to position the models, so that they can move linearly in a range between two values, e.g. 10-100mm. Is there anyway to apply this constraint with Rulestream?

Thanks

Are they build up in an NX_Assembly Spec or will they be build up from scratch?

In the first case you have to find the offset and edit it (via Expression)

In the second case you can build it up with a offset (plane 2 plane)

The assembly is built using a NX spec. The components that are positioned are retriever from teamcenter.

I know how to apply the constraints, e.g. distance, using planes. My question is if it is possible to make the distance constraint "dynamic" so that the components ends up in the closest point in that distance, e.g. 50-100mm,

Can you show an example for that?

Is it clear at which distance they have to be?

Can you measure this and use the value for placing them?
