Our newest member of the Blogsquad promises to bring an interesting perspective for all those interested in computer aided manufacturing (CAM).
Aaron Frankel has 15 years of experience in the PLM software industry and has held various positions in engineering services, product management, and marketing – all focused on helping engineering companies take advantage of the latest CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM technology. He is currently responsible for marketing Siemens manufacturing engineering software solutions that include NX CAM, NX CMM Inspection Programming, and Teamcenter. He spent three years of his career working internationally in Japan. (Test his language skills by commenting in Japanese :-) )
You may recognize Aaron from several of his articles in trade publications - most recently the MoldMaking Technology article Making the jump to five-axis machining technology easier. He’s just completed a new article, "Thrive on New Market Opportunities – how the right manufacturing engineering software enables diversification," which will be published in the August edition of MoldMaking Technology Magazine – so stay tuned.
Prior to joining Siemens, Aaron received degrees in Engineering and Japanese from the University of Michigan (GO BLUE!) where he also received fellowships from the Japan Technology Management Program (JTMP) to study abroad in Japan.
Aaron lives in Southern California accompanied by his wife and son. One other personal tidbit about Aaron that I’ve come to know since working with him, he enjoys training for and competing in triathlons.
