The first two Femap Symposia events took place in Southern California last week (Tuesday in San Diego and Thursday in Cypress) and were co-hosted with Siemens channel partner, ATA Engineering Inc. The events were well attended and many Femap users came to listen to various presentations from ATA’s Femap experts and Femap developers.
Dan Kuriger of ATA started the proceedings off with a welcome and introduction presentation.
Mark Sherman presented the new product features and capabilities that are coming in the next release of Femap – version 11.3.
ATA’s Femap experts Andy Mouron in Cypress (and Rachel Backes in San Diego) reviewed best practices for acquiring and using geometry for meshing.
ATA engineers Jonathan Buck in San Diego (and Jonathan Hill in Cypress) and showed how to use the Femap API to improve the analysis process.
Both events finished with a developer roundtable giving the attendees a chance to put questions directly to the Femap developers (Mark Sherman and Chip Fricke).
These two events were a great way to kick off the Femap Symposia Series 2016, but if you these you will have a chance to attend one of the others that we are planning at various locations across the country.
