I keep getting a message that the program cannot find a valid licence yet I have put it into program files(x86)/solid edge xxxx/program
This is where the licence file resides on a 64 bit system.
Anybody know if this is possible to run on 64 bit?
ST3 which is the most recent release seems to work just fine on my Win7 Pro 64bit laptop, this was installed before I downloaded and installed the XP mode so I know it was running on Win7. It did install into the Program files (x86) folder which means it is probably a 32bit application, but it does run. I haven't done much more than draw a few doodles to see if it was working, haven't taken the time to move old drawing over and check to make sure they still function (but I don't think there will be a problem). The only thing I had to do was to temporarily disable UAC and reboot, just punch UAC into the windows search box and it will lead you to the process.
Solid Edge 2D Drafting is a 32bit application. But it does run on a 64bit machine. You should not have any problems. We deliver Solid Edge in either 32bit or 64bit. We only deliver 2D Drafting in 32bit. Regards, Rick B.
