Circular Pattern Tool Bug?

[ Edited ]

Is there a known bug with the circular pattern tool? See attached bad image. the
only way I could get the circular pattern tool to place that pattern correctly was
to delete the horizontal/vertical constraints from the lines that make up the notch.
I don't remember having this problem with the previous version of Solid Edge 2D.
Thanks,
Ed

And here is the good image. (the bulletin board doesn't seem to allow attaching more
than one image to a post.)

Re: Circular Pattern Tool Bug?

Ed,

I am able to reproduce a problem even in the fully licensed version of Solid Edge Draft and will log a problem report to development for it. I was not able to view your image (it tells me I do not have permissions, for what I do not know). Anyway, I created a circle and drew a "notch" at the top consisting of two vertical and one horizontal lines. I then patterned this with a count of 6 occurrences and the one at the bottom is not oriented correctly. If I delete the horizontal and vertical constraints on the original lines, then I get the correct answer.

Like I said, I will have development take a look at this.

Andy.

Andy,
If you go to the old bulletin board you can view the images. But, you were able
to reproduce the problem so it's probably not necessary.
Maybe you could also log a problem report for the bulletin board image issue.
Thanks,
Ed
