Allan, I assume you are talking about the coordinate keyins that were on the Grid command bar. These were removed. Associative dimensions will most likely accomplish what you are trying to do. Try using dimensions to drive your geometry to the specific location. Regards, Rick B.
I've just opened a new drawing and set a new origin as somewhere approx in the middle.
Then I've drawn a circle and used edit properties to put in zero X and Y co ordinates and clicked okay...the circle then just centres itself on the bottom LH corner which is the opening origin and not on the new origin specified.
Allan, The object properties and the grid origin are not tied together. Objects properties are based on the sheet origin or zero. The reason for this is that the grid origin is movable at any time. You can move the grid without affecting any objects. If you want to locate the circle center at the grid origin, simply enable the display of the grid. Check the radio button to snap to points also. You can now drag and drop the circle center handle on any point of the grid. There is a replacement for the keyins in planning, I just can't say when it will make a release. Regards, Rick B.,
I'll be glad when the keyin boxes are done.
I still don't understand why I could get them previously in V102 when I first used it but now they've disappeared.
From memory they were on the bottom LH side, possibly on the prompt bar.
Allan, You can enable them by adding the Grid command to the quick bar at the top and then running the Grid command. This will add the keyins back in, but is unreliable as to when the values will go to the commands. Rick B.
