Deleting TEXT

N/A
I am making a drawing with several layers. I put a note on a layer using
the TEXT command. I managed to get a text string on the drawing without a
box showing. Now I can't delete the text from the drawing. I can't even
select the text string to do anytning with it, like move it. I managed to
get the text string into the 'auto hide' layer. (I'm not even sure how I
did that) How can I delete the TEXT?
Thanks for your help.

Make sure the Auto-Hide layer is not set to "Make Non-locatable"
Are you drawing in a Model View then creating drawing views on the drawing
sheet? If your text is in the model view you will need to activate the
Model View sheet to select it.
What happens if you follow these steps. Create another text box. Start the
Select Tool - click on Smart Select in the Ribbon Bar - select the text you
just created. When the Smart Select box pops up make sure Element Type is
checked and click OK. All text should now get selected including the one
you're having trouble with unless it is in a Model View, on a non-locatable
layer or in a drawing view. The last is unlikely unless you've added some
buttons to your toolbars.
