Dimension display is controlled by Styles. When you activate the dimension
tool you can see the active style on the left side of your top tool bar
(ribbon bar). If your units are English this style will default to ANSI.
To modify the style go to Format-Style. Set the style type box to Dimension
and you will see all the default styles. Select one and the Modify button
will be available. To change the display to fraction, look under the
General tab for the Round-off drop down. At the bottom of the list are
fractions.
Personally I create a new style and call it ANSI fraction. That way I have
both fractional and decimal dimension styles available at any time.
If you just want to set a single dimension to fraction you can right click
and edit its properties. The General tab with the Round-off setting will be
available.
