Dimension the rectangle height in tutorial?

The tutorial says that:
Notice that the exact dimension value is displayed on the value editing handle adjacent
to the dimension.

I don't have the value editing handle adjacent to the dimension. Any ideas about
what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks,
Chris

Chris,
See attached image. The "value editing handle" is circled in red. Is that what you
are saying is not being displayed when you place the dimension?

Re: Dimension the rectangle height in tutorial?

Chris,
Click on the text of the dimension to display the dimension edit handle
again. When you place a dimension it will be displayed until you do
something else. Then it goes away.

I am experiencing the same problem. I cannot create the "value edit handle." I am following the tutorial and cannot get past this issue. Any help would be appreciated.

David,

See attached images. In the first one I clicked on one of the lines with the arrow on it to select the dimension. In the second image I clicked on the text of the dimension, in this case "3.000" and that brought up the value editing handle. You must click on the dimension text in order to bring up the value editing handle. Hope this helps.
