EDITING WITHIN A CALLOUT IN ST8

Genius

In ST7 and earlier versions, I was able to use the great editing features in MS Word to create a text document and then copy it into a CALLOUT. To facilitate this action, pressing the right mouse button while in the CALLOUT would display a context menu. In ST8, nothing happens when pressing it.

I tried shortcut keys while in the CALLOUT and found CTRL X = CUT, CTRL C = COPY, CTRL A = ALL, & DELETE will work. But the most important combination, i.e., CTRL P = PASTE, does not.

Is this a known bug that I have to live with or is this something unique to my software?

Thanks,

Ron

Hi Ron

It seems to work for me with ST8

I selected the text in the text document and copied to clip board with ctrl C.

Then I pasted into the callout test field with crtl V

hope this helps

Pete

Pete, thanks.  However, you said you used Ctrl+V to PASTE.  In my ST8 CUSTOMIZING WINDOW/KEYBOARD, it shows Ctrl+P is the speedkey for PASTE.  But when I used what you did, it also works for me.  I don't know why I have Ctrl+P but I will change it to Ctrl+V. And doing a little checking, Ctrl+V is the Windows default speedkey.

Appreciate you solving this one for me.

Thanks again,

Ron
