This is a similar question to the thread on text box and dimension change that I just entered today. But this envolves a hatch or fill inside of the same rectange. When I change the dimension, sometimes the hatch doesn't fill up the rectangle anymore. Other times it stays with the size change. Why? Thanks, Ron Ronald W Latour
Ron, Fill is associative to the closed shape that initially defines the fill. If you have maintain relationships enabled, it acts much better. Fill also has a handle point that is used to define the area for the fill. You can drag the handle yo force the fill to recompute based on the updated geometry. If you delete geometry that bounds the fill, it becomed non-associative. For example draw a rectangle. Place a fill. Delete one of the lines of the rectangle. The fill no longer has closed bounding geometry so it maintains its current shape. If you add the line back in. Simply drag the handle to make it associative to the geometry again. Regards, Rick B.
