I can't seem to find the setting for the scale of the whole drawing. Can someone point out to me where this setting is? Also, are there construction template inserts such as doors, windows, sinks, etc? Thanks for your help. Mark B.
Mark, Depending upon how you are creating your drawing, you have a couple of options, both have to do with scaling the drawing border. When drawing in Solid Edge, you always draw at full scale. Ricky Black has posted a Word doc explaining this in depth. The post is titled "Re: Scaling large objects" and was posted on "8/6/2007". Since Solid Edge is a "mechanical design" product as opposed to an "architectural design" product, you will not find architectural scales such as you mentioned in your subject, you will have to convert it to a mechanical scale (1:48) or a decimal scale (.0208333...). For your "construction templates" (Blocks), you will not find the items you mentioned because, as mentioned earlier, Solid Edge is not an architectural design product. I believe you can use any commercially available AutoCAD Block Library. See Help for details.
