How to get the Variable Fields in title block to update after saving to new name.

Hello,
Been enjoying the free software. I'm new to cad. I created a file using Model Sheet,
Created a View and made Custom Background sheet. I also created variable fields
in my title block to show the file name and date created. If I change/save file
to a different name, in order to make similar drawings with minor changes, the variable
fields don't update until I exit/reopen the file. I also found that going to the
Asheet page and selecting the variable and then clicking on the property button
also gets the variable to update. Is there a way to update from the Detail view
page without exiting or turning on background sheet.
thanks in advance
Doug

David,
I Don't See the command "update All Property Text"
All I see is to "Convert all text"

Don't have SEFree2D on my work computer. See the attached image. I guess
you're saying the command shown is not available.

Doug,
Sounds like you are doing well with the 2D Drafting software. I am happy you
are finding it useful.
Here is one way to get the variables to update without exiting the file.
Document transition will update the variables. Simply start another draft
file. The system will switch to that new file. Then use CTRL+TAB to switch
back to your original file. The properties should update. Some of the
variables cannot be updated until the file is saved. Date is one of these.
I will look into adding Update Property Text into Solid Edge 2D Drafting to
give a simple way to update the property text.

David,
In my Free2D tool list I'm am missing this command line. The Help file on my software
also tries to get you to use "update all property text".

Rick,
That would be wonderful if you could get the Update Property Text into Solid Edge
2D.
