How to start needed in new tutorial

N/A

Hi the existing tutorials are good for drawing something small in the existing title
block. But one is needed for starting a drawing from scratch. I am trying to draw
a structure 15’ long by 12’ wide by 9’ tall. How do I start a new drawing that will
accommodate something like that? How do I scale it down so it will fit on an A size
sheet? Is there any way a start from scratch tutorial can be added? In the mean
time how do I accomplish this.

Scott, or is that "Mr. Can"?
Open the standard template is C:\SE2d\templates\
Save as a new name within that directory.
Click "View>Background Sheets"
You should now see a new set of tabs at the bottom of the drawing.
Click on these and alter the details (i.e. address etc).
SAVE AS MR-Can-template.dft or similar
Now click "File>New"
Chose the newly made template as your new drawing basis.
Click "View>2d model"
New tab appears.
Click new tab.
Draw your 4.5m x 10m x 2.5m structure.
Click "Sheet 1" Tab.
Click "2D model View" which is the button to the left of the mouse pointer button
(which is "selection").
Draw around where you wish to show on your sheet.
It'll take you back to the "Sheet 1" view.
Click "Zoom: Expanse" (like an "X" in a box)
Select the drawing view, put a scale like 0.04 or 0.05 in the scale box on the ribbon
bar.
How's that?
-Andy.
