How to update your V19 license

N/A
All,
There seems to be some confusion about updating your V19 license of 2D
Drafting.
All that is required is for you to update the license. This is an easy
update and does NOT require you do download the software again.
Go to the free2d web site,
http://www.ugs.com/products/velocity/solidedge/free2d/. Scroll down to the
bottom of the page.
There are now two sets of combo boxes where you select your language. The
first set is for new users to download the software. The second set is for
existing users to update their V19 license.
Select your language in the second set of combo boxes. You will be asked for
minimal information.
You will be taken to a web page with a link to a ZIP file. In this zip file
there is a Readme.txt file and the updated license. Click on this ZIP file
link.
Follow the directions in the readme to update the V19 license.
That is all you need to do.
Regards,
Rick B.

Dear Rick,
Ah, I did not look carefully. My mistake and I apologize. I think I was
confused by the paragraph before the second selection that says other
languages is also available. This made me thought that the second selections
were for regional versions. This statement should instead be inserted
between the title and the first selections. Then again, why does the first
option not provide a license that should last till October 2008? Considering
that end of September 2007 is just around the corner? It doesn't make much
sense to provide a license for a new install that will last only 25 days and
then have new users "surprised" by that message box.
Just my thoughts,

Rick,
I see a potential problem with the option to extend the license. It says at
the bottom; "Your email must match the email address used during the initial
registration.Your email must match the email address used during the initial
registration." What if, the e-mail has changed? Does it mean the user have
to download the software all over again?
Best regards,
