Insulation, Concrete and othe architectural symbols?

Hi,
I've found the concrete symbols in SE2d, but I'm having trouble getting the insulation
symbol (like a load of "S" or a miandering figure 8 between two parallel lines).
Are there any architectural drawing symbols anywhere?
Thanks,
-Andy.

Andy,
I am guessing that you are talking about a hatch-fill when you say concrete
symbol. Currently all hatch patterns are derived from linear segments. So
the "S" pattern for insulation is currently not available.

Rick,
I thought maybe it was the other way around, that the sections were derived from
2D work somewhere, as the concrete fill appeared to be a random triangular pattern.
i recognise that the insulation would have been a linear (1d ) pattern, not a 2d
pattern. Is there any way to change a line font to something a little more complex?
or do you have any recomendations as to how to deal with this?
I'm currently thinking a few different width symbols and then use the pattern command
for a linear pattern of them.

Re: Insulation, Concrete and othe architectural symbols?

Andy,
The triangular pattern you see is still a sequence of linear line segments
with different gaps and at different angles. You can see this by going to
Format-Style and modifying the Hatch style (Not the fill style) for that
type. The fill style uses a hatch pattern style of the same name to produce
the pattern.
We have been investigating implementing a user defined pattern type of hatch
where you could create your own geometry of any shape. This is future and
has no implementation schedule at this time.

Re: Insulation, Concrete and othe architectural symbols?

Rick,
That would be really good if we could do that.
Definitely one for my wish list.
Possibly below "parametric patterning in 2D": where the number of occurances of
a pattern could be controlled via the "variable Table".
Is there a 2DWishList board/feedback channel for us 2d users to say what we'd really
love to see?

Thanks,
-Andy.

Any progress on a fill pattern for insulation? The continuous 'S' type of thing??
