Making line end point tangent to circle

Experimenter
Experimenter

Hi,

I recently updated to ST8 and some of the functionality has changed from my previous version. I'm trying to get a hidden line end point to line up with a circle (side view of a countersink to line up with end view).

I can't get either the "horizontal/vertical" or "tangent" to do this. I must be missing something because I could do this in ST4 by using the 'tangent' funcitonality. I have attached the file, the section in question is at the bottom in the center.

Thanks,

Tim

You need to turn on your "Silhoutte" IntelliSketch option to do this using the Horizontal/Vertical constraint which will allow you to specify the edge of the circle in your bottom view.  Tangent won't work as you cannot make an endpoint tangent, only the line which is not what you want.

Nothing has changed in this regard from ST4 to ST8, so it should all work identically.

Thanks,
Ken

Thanks. I don't remember turning 'silhouette' on in ST4 or off in ST8, but either way that did the trick!
