Newbe to this 2D program needs help

N/A
Hello all
We currently use SE V20 and decided to download the Free 2D for some other
computers in the shop.
The program loaded just fine and was able to run program and open dft file.
But I'm finding that I can't dimension, measure (find end, midpoint ect...)
of a current dft file that was created in 3D. I can draw lines, then dim
those, and other stuff with no problem. But, should I be able to add a
dimension to a dft file that was created in SE V20??? and, when added some
geometry, be able to get end points and ect....

Todd,
Drawing Views created with Solid Edge are disabled in 2D Drafting.
For colaboration you can share the files and print the files created with
Solid Edge.
You cannot locate the geometry within the drawing views.
Therefore, you cannot dimension the views. This is by design.
You can add additional annotations and/or 2D geometry. But, not to the
Then you can reopen the files in Solid Edge and see the changes.

Rick B.
