PROMPT BAR

Previously, the prompt bar was the only source of command/tool tips. However, on
the updated version, I’ve noticed that there are tool tips being shown twice, in
the prompt bar and below the bar. Seems redundant. Here’s what my screen shows:

I’ve also tried to get rid of the prompt bar since I only need one source of info.
But it won’t go away.
Thanks,
Ron

Ricky, I'm copying over your answer to this thread that you provided in another
thread called DIMENSION LINE CROSSES THRU NUMBER so I can keep my response contiguous.
Here's the copy over:

Ron,
I'll look at the offset command dimension.
It looks like you have undocked the prompt bar.
Drag the header of the prompt bar toward the bottom of the screen.
You will see an arrow display toward the bottom center.
Drop the prompt bar on this arrow. It will dock it to the bottom.

Rick B.

Ricky, Here's my followup: I guess I failed to state my problem clearly. I was
trying to tell/ask about the intended redundacy of having two sources of command
tips -one via the Prompt Bar and another below the Prompt Bar. The latter being,
to me, a new feature in V102.
I followed your instruction to see the result. It still doesn't let me get rid of
the Prompt Bar. Because I now can see command tips in the lower gray bar below
where the Prompt Bar would be, I see no reason to have the Prompt Bar. See the following
site for what my screen now looks like after your latest recommendation:

Re: PROMPT BAR

Ron,
I found out some more information about the two strings you are seeing.
One of the strings is the Prompt Bar, which is what you are trying to
remove.
The other is in the application frame and is a status bar.
The strange thing about the status bar is that it will display prompts if
you have the prompt bar collapsed down where you cannot see the prompt in
it.
There is a bug in this where the status bar will continue to display the
last known prompt when the prompt bat is set back to where it can also
display prompts again.
In your example, the status bar is displaying a prompt relative to polygon
fence when you are running the move command.
So, the status bar is not really intended to display prompts.
Also, you cannot completely reomve the prompt bar.

Rick B.
