SEACAD.INI export options

In the previous release of Solid Edge 2D, there was a documented
manual change to SEACAD.INI which would allow user to export DWG files
with splines automatically converted to polylines:
Export Splines As Polylines=1
However, when I attempt to export a file into AutoCAD format using
this command line, the resulting file does not contain either the
original spline or its polyline equivalent.
Reason for using this option is that the CAM program of one job shop
will not process splines when importing an AutoCAD file.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: SEACAD.INI export options

Dave,
You are correct. There is a problem with spline to polyline conversion.
I have created a problem report with development.

Re: SEACAD.INI export options

Thanks for filing problem report. Is there any temporary work-around?

Re: SEACAD.INI export options

There is no work around.
I'll see how localized the fix is.

Re: SEACAD.INI export options

Rick,
Project was getting a little time critical, so I looked for assistance
in other groups. I did find a work-around. If I export the design into
Autocad using the R12 version option, all splines are automatically
converted to polylines. I will use this technique until Solid Edge 2D
development fixes bug with "Export Splines as Polylines" command
option.
