SMART SELECT FOR GROUPS

N/A

Is there a way to make SmartSelect select elements that are part of a Group. It
seems like it should be able to do that. I haven't figured it out, so I don't use
SS very often.
Thanks,
Ron

Ron,
Are you wanting to select the geometry in the group instead of the group?
There is an option 'Bottom Up' in the command bar for Select.
This will allow locating the geometry inside the group. Click on this
button. Click on top down when you want to select the group.
Think of this as locating outside/in or inside/out.

Ricky, what I’m trying to do is to change the thickness of a certain type of line
that was used repetitively in several different groups. I tried what you suggested
and it works. I was of the assumption that the Bottom Up, Top Down, and SmartSelect
were all independent commands. But I see now that they are derivative and can work
together.
Thanks,
Ron
