# Text Box Entry

When I try to edit an existing text box by hightlighting every thing and over writing
with new text, the new text comes in at .25 in tall no matter what the original
text height was.
This is so even though none of the defined text styles are set to .25 tall.
Is this a default somewhere?
Thanks,
Andy

## Re: Text Box Entry

Andy,
Text boxes can have different font sizes for different portions of the
string within a single text box. Depending on where the edit cursor is in
the text box, the Font Size will be obtained from the text. This is much
like editing text in a Word document. If you need to insert text at a
specific location in the text box and at a specific size, just put the edit
cursor in the proer position and change the font size. The new text will be
the size specified.

Rick,
The issue I have is that when I double click on a text box (that has .065 tall text)
to "yellow" highlight all of the existing text, when I begin typing the new text
to replace the existing text, the text height defaults to .25 tall no matter what
was originally in there.
Then, we have to pick the box again and change it back. This does not always work,
though, because the change in height can make the box do some strange word wrapping
and even position changes.
Thanks,
Andy
