Variables from table in Text

N/A

Hi,
I've made a SE2D model that calculated cutting lengths for fabrications, but I've
run into a problem in that the cutting lengths are calculated on the variable table,
and I need it in a text output on the drawing generated.
In ProE I'd have used a parameter and relation and then referenced it as:
&length:2
or similar in a text box or table on the drawing, is there a similar command or
operation for SE2d?
Cheers,

Andy,
This sounds like you want to create a dimension table. Is that correct?

Under the Tools menu, you will find a Variables item. Select it and you
will see a table with a number of variables listed. Find your Length
variable and scroll to the right and select the "Expose" checkbox and give
it a name. Close the form.
Now, using something that supports property text such as the Callout
command, you can select the variable you just exposed from the Active
Document and can place it's value on the drawing as a note. If you are not
sure how to use Property Text, look it up in help under "Create Property
Text".

Took me a while to remember this (it's been a year and a half since I was using
SE3D full swing), but I still couldn't get it to show me the variables.
It's the old %{variable} format on a call out note. I don't know if it's supposed
to show up with all the other variable names when you are editing a Call out, but
mine doesn't, but it'll let you type in that format and work in a call out text
box.
I doesn't seem to work in a table or text box though.
I'm trying to do a cutting list, which I think would be best as a Table.
Any ideas?
