Ranier,
Did you try turning off the UAC before installing the software?

Re: WIN_7-64bit?

Hi Rick,thanx for Your support!
-Yes,I did switch it to the lowest setting.always same error.
-now going to try in protected mode.

OK-in safe mode the service "windows Installer"cant be accessed-so did not work.
Now what?

PS.dont like my email open for spammers, what to do?-could I just replace in edit by a nick-name?

Re: WIN_7-64bit?

Rainer,
I'm running Solid Edge 2D on a notebook computer with Windows 7 64 bit with no problems.
I haven't run it a lot because I mainly run it on my desktop which has Windows XP
but so far it has run fine on the notebook computer.

Re: WIN_7-64bit?

What level of Win7 is working? There are some differences between home, business, pro, and ultimate that could be getting in the way. If there are differences I'd like to know because I think I may buy a new computer and it of course comes with Win7 (probably home).

Re: WIN_7-64bit?

It is certified against business and professional.
If you order a new computer from the source, you can specify which operating
system you need.

Still no luck

Hello,this is Win7 pro 64bit!! ;on a DELL-Notebook studio 1747 .
I tried quite a few times to get it installed, but that never worked.-gave up on it,this already did cost me a few days work .
Seems to be a problem with registry rigths??I eventually found the problem keys but could
not assign the needed rights in regedit.(just jumps back to how it was before).
(Details in my other posts above.)
-Yes I was the admin..even tried with the "super-admin"account..
It was not even possible to install in XP-Mode virtual machine.!

Greetings Rainer
