Varsha,
How much do you know about the registry and registry editor?

I have the same difficulty as Varsha. I am familiar with both the registry and
regedit. Do you have a way out of the impasse?
Thanks

Re: about uninstalling older version

Henry,
I will give you directions to remove the registry keys so you can install
again.
Follow the directions carefully. Make sure you look carefully at the items
specified. There are other registry entries that are similar. Make sure you
are
getting the entry specified.
I am also running XP.
1. Click on Start.
2. Click on Run.
3. In the 'Open:' field key in "regedit".
4. Click OK. This will start the Registry Editor.
Be very careful from here on. A mistake can be fatal to your system!!!
5. Click on the '+' in front of 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE'.
6. Click on the '+' in front of 'SOFTWARE'.
7. Click on the '+' in front of 'Unigraphics Solutions'.
8. Click on 'Solid Edge'. Do not click on the '+' in front of 'Solid Edge'.
'Solid Edge' should be the only item highlighted.
9. Press the Delete key on the keyboard. The entry for 'Solid Edge' will be
removed.
10. Click on the red 'X' in the upper right corner of the Registry Editor.
This will close the registry editor.
Try to install again.

Let me know if this fixes your problem.

Regards,
Rick B.
