how to record coord of one line in a txt file

Hello,
I'm a new member, this is my first post

Can anybody summarize the steps
to record the xy coordinates of a line or arc in a text file or excel table.
It would be greatly appreciated.

I assume you want to automate this in some way. Correct?
There is an automation layer that Solid Edge uses to extract and input object properties and other stuff from external sources. This automation layer allows you to write custom programs (VB).
This layer of software is disabled in the free 2D Drafting software.

You can do this manually by right mouse clicking on an object and selecting properties.
You can copy and paste the object properties from there.

Thank you, Ricky for your reply

I would like to test what you said - as follows:
set the option for a relative system origin
then when right click the second point
to get the relative coordinates in Properties.

Can I do that?
Thanks,
Cristina
