importing and converting 2d files to 3d file

Dear All,

 

I would perform a construction drawing by starting to 3d model. Is possible to import the 3d model and create the various view an the quote them?

Hi there @Stefano_Milani,

 

Yes.....look for "View Wizard"....then use "Callout" annotation text, using the "Property Text" command to access the metadata from the connected model.

I'm sorry but I wrong the title of the post. I think that you understand my request.

I try to go to home but I can't find  the "view assistant". 

From the siemens documentation I understand that is possible to import only Solidedge 3d model? It's true?

I specified also that I have solidedge 2d FREE software, not the full software.

Ah, OK.....you cannot handle anything with "3D" files in Free 2D.

Not even when viewing "Draft" files created from the full product.....and you are correct, the draft environment will only work with Solid Edge 3D files.....however, you can import other [as long as they contain 2D data] formats into Free 2D. [I believe DWG, DXF & IGES]
