It’s really that easy…just tell us about a unique or interesting design idea, one that could potentialy benefit from generative design and/or 3D printing, and you’ll be entered to win! You need to enter by February 28th ... here is what you need to do:

On this form, in a few sentences, tell us your idea for a new product, or a component that improves an existing product.

  • Then, tell us how you would use generative design and/or 3D printing in the development of that product or component.
  • Have a napkin drawing, a sketch or a CAD rendering that shows your idea? We’d love to see it! Just scan it or save it and upload it alongside your competition entry!

We just announced the winner of the competition - Dave King from British Columbia, Canada. Dave's design idea was about improving the design and manufacture of prosthetics. You can read the announcement from Design World and we will publish an article soon to give more details.

We received some really interesting design ideas including motorcycle frames, hand tremor stabilizing devices, robot gripping devices, safety shoes, shoe protectors, air logic controllers, chair leg supports, conponents for electric vehicles, PCB manufacturing and dental implants.
