I'm trying to add 200 or so parts to an assembly and I'm looking for a way to do it FASTER! I've tried the obvious things like turning the ScreenUpdating off, making SE invisible, using DelayCompute. Those things make a bit of a difference, but not enough to notice.
I've tried using .AddByFileName with .PutTransform vs. .AddWithTransform. I've tried placing the part and deleting the ground relationship hoping that SE would have fewer relationships to recalculate. I've tried reconnecting to SE after X parts have been placed. None of these things have made a significant difference.
I really need to cut down the run time of my program, so ANY ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help!
