Add Tables to a specific Sheet in a Draft File

Morning All,

I'm just trying to create and place a table on a specific sheet in a draft doc. I can't figure out where to specify the sheet to place the table on.

I have created the table and can use the SetOrigin command to set an X & Y position, however the table always shows on the first sheet and not the second as I require.

I've used SolidEdge Spy (Great job Jason BTW), to check the COM Structure but I can't figure out where to specify the Sheet name for the table instance.

It looks like the Tables collection is stored at the Draft Document level and not on a per sheet basis but where do you specify the sheet to place the table on!!??

Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated!!

Alex,

 

if the API doesn't obviously offer a parameter for the affected object (sheet in your case) then in most cases the active object is assumed implicitely. So you should try to activate the desired sheet first before adding the table.
