Change link of (or replace) occurrences.. Revision Manager...?

Hi All,

I have created a template assembly file. I use the template assembly to update and create new file. So i want to use revision manager API to change the link of several occurrences.

How to change the link of a specifc occurrence? Or how to replace that particular part?

I am not getting any help. Does anybody have some code snippet for this?

Many thanks in advance

RE: Change link of (or replace) occurrences.. Revision Manager...?

Hi Prasad

first step is create the object for Revision Manager then open the assembly file in which you have to replace the sub assemblies or parts.

define the linked documents like dim linkeddocs as RevisionManager.linkeddocuments

use a loop to find the required sub assembly or part on the basis of path or its name

like for each linkeddoc in linkeddocs and the code to trace specific part or assembly if yes then use replace command and the path with which the part or assembly is to be replace

i can not send the code because i am working some different customization and i am outside India sorry

you can try ask if any problem

all the best

Change link of (or replace) occurrences.. Revision Manager...?

Hello Prasad, hello Sandeep

The path to the linked document could be changed in Revision Manager just the way you described it Sandeep, but for some reason it doesnt work for drafts... any idea why?

Cheers,

Salwadora
