Is it Possible to create and register an AddIn in VB.net Express Edition? I've been trying to follow the basic examples but I can't get Solid Edge to recognize/see the AddIn.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I can't say for 100% certainty but it should be possible. What version of express are you using? I've been testing Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows Desktop for macros but I haven't gotten to addins yet. One of the big gotchas with .NET addins is running the correct version of regasm.exe. If you've got Solid Edge x64, you need to be running the x64 of regasm.
I should be working on an example soon. Everything that I'm working on these days gets published at Samples for Solid Edge so be sure and subscribe\watch for updates. We are on a monthly release cycle of the downloads.

yes, it's possible create and register AddIn. I maked it in Visual Studio Express 2010.
It's a sample AddIn in Solid Edge folder, but you must create GUID ("http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/uploadfile/anavijai/how-to-enable-create-guid-option-in-visual-studio-2... and replace GUID in "Addin.vb".
After that you must register (64bit):
c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\regAsm /codebase d:\Your_Path\Your_AddIn.dll
c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\regAsm /u d:\Your_Path\Your_AddIn.dll
So worked for me.
