Hey Guys,

someone outthere tried to drag/drop out of a selfmade program to SE,

im using vb and made a macro program like a filelist

i just want to drag a selected row of my Datagridview,

to SE then - in the background a script to copy/add a new file should start ...

is it possilbe to define SE as a DragTarget form vb ;

or do i have to use an addin somehow...

any clue - THX Linus

Linus,

I think you're going to be bound to whatever is the default functionality in Solid Edge for drag\drop files. You can test this by drag\drop files from Windows Explorer to Solid Edge. I know that if you have an assembly open and drop a .par file from Windows Explorer, Solid Edge will use the .par in the assembly. There is no way that I know of via the API to hook into these activities.

Thats it Jason !

Se - standard drops is everything i need...

So i can use standard "Explorer"-styled Datatype     - so simple -

perfoming my functions before ....

using:

Private Sub Results_dgv_CellMouseDown(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellMouseEventArgs) Handles Results_dgv.CellMouseDown

Dim SEfile(0) As String

SEfile(0) = ""C:\Dir\file.par""

Dim SEdataObject As New System.Windows.Forms.DataObject

SEdataObject.SetData(DataFormats.FileDrop, SEfile)

Results_dgv.DoDragDrop(SEdataObject, DragDropEffects.All)
