If I have a Family Of Parts master open I would like to determine the active member name.

Can't seem to find a way.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Get the DisplayName of the ActiveDocument object (assuming it's an AssemblyDocument). The text after the '!' is the name of the active member.

 "seAsm.asm!seAsm1".

Hello,

@SEWarrior12: In a FOA there are all family element in the ASM file, so there is always an active family member. But the question was about an FOP.

@JasonTitcomb: I don't think that there is a current active member in a part. You can use the Apply method of the FamilyMember object to be sure that the geometry corresponds to the values of the member.

Don't know if this helps to solve your requirment.
