I created a addin that works fine. I gratefully used the addin wizard which helped me to get started.
I made an edgbar with a couple of fields, I store the values in the custom fileproperties. The problem I have is that the customer sometimes (as a habit) changes the fileproperties directly.
The question now is: is there a way to get notified whenever the file properties change due to a user editing the fileproperties? I need to update the values within the edgebar otherwise my Edgebar overwrites the changes of the user.
Thanks in advance for your help.

What I've always done is this case is watch application's command events. You can use Solid Edge Spy to see how it works. When a user select File --> File Properties, there is a corresponding command that you can watch for to know that it took place. Specifically, in the AfterCommand() event. When you find the command you're looking for, just simply update the EdgeBar info. HTH
