Get value of custom property from occurrences

Hi all,

I'm creating my own View & Markup for my company, and I want to include some custom properties in there as well. For instance I have a column named "K4-Description" in every model.

I'm currently cycling through all occurences and I have a single function getDescription(SolidEdgeDocument document) that should return the value of "K4-Description". The problem is that property.value or property.getValue() don't work. The debugger gives me the error "Native View", but I can see the value in the debugger.

Do I really have to open each document and then get it? Because with assemblies over 1000 occurrences that would take a long time...

thanks!

Looks like you are coding for SolidEdge, but this is the NX Programming forum.

You might be better posting in the Solid Edge Developer Forum

Re: Get value of custom property from occurrences

Oh sorry, my bad.

Is there an easy way to move this one?

That'll probably have to be done by a forum admin.

Easiest way for you is to create a new topic in the SolidEdge forum and put a link to that in this topic (just for completeness).
